Our Aim

A Life-Changing Yoga Journey in Rishikesh

Yoga is not a system to strengthen body by only focusing on exercises designed to be a stronger being; it is a complete method of lifestyle that connects the mind and body to the spirit. The traditional 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program in India at Ashram Yogasana is structured in such a way that it introduces students into the world of yoga and the traditional way of living, laying a foundation in leading a healthier and more conscious life.

With lifestyle changes in the modern world, radical changes in routines, improper diet and persistent stress have increasingly brought a toll on our immune system, mental well-being and physical health. Our goal with this course is to introduce practitioners to the ancient wisdom of yoga and to equip them with the necessary tools, techniques and practices that re-establishes balance and vitality in life.

This empowering experience is not only important in the development of the individual, it also equips students with the knowledge, discipline and confidence to successfully go become a yoga teacher. Upon the completion of the course, you will receive a certification that is recognized by the Yoga Alliance and so it not only certifies your competence and efforts but also opens the gate to share the gift of yoga with the world and establish a lucrative career in the yoga field.

We have carefully designed a curriculum that pays equal emphasis to theory and practice. Subjects are implemented in depth and clarity and a student is allowed to have the maximum understanding so that he or she can then move on to the new subject. Along with this, a daily schedule is set according to the descriptions made in the ancient yogic texts in relation to the nature of life. An essential part of our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Ashram Yogasana is the study of Anatomy and Physiology, designed to give students both a scientific and yogic understanding of the human body. While yoga is often experienced as a spiritual and physical practice, having a clear knowledge of how the body works allows practitioners to move with awareness, avoid injuries, and guide others with confidence.

In this course, we cover the fundamentals of anatomy including the skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system, digestive system, circulatory system, and nervous system. Students learn how bones and joints function during asanas, how muscles engage and release, and how posture alignment can support safe practice. We also explore the role of the breath in pranayama, the heart and blood flow in circulation, and the connection between digestion and yogic lifestyle.

In the yogic tradition, Shatkarma refers to six ancient cleansing techniques designed to purify the body and prepare it for higher yogic practices. These kriyas are essential for maintaining internal balance, improving energy flow, and removing toxins at both the physical and mental levels. In our 100 Hour Yoga TTC, students are introduced to the foundational practices of Shatkarma in a safe and supportive environment, guided step-by-step by experienced teachers.

Daily Schedule

Daily Schedule of The 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course

The daily routine of a 100 Hour Yoga Teacher has been made in such a way that there is an inclusion of physical practice, theory, and self-observation. There is a practice of silence meditation along with pranayama which is later followed by energizing asana practice to get the body up and about. Theory classes about the philosophy of yoga, ways of teaching, anatomy of yoga, and others will take place and practical lessons of helping into asana dissection and reconstruction will extend throughout the day. One more yoga with the aim of relaxation, a talk and meditation will be included in the evenings with an aim of facilitating community and development. The educational process seems to be quite rigid and would, however, allow free expression on any particular aspect that would trigger active engagement with effective assimilation and growth of the students.
